Time to change BSB?
Having watched all types of motorcycle racing since the sixties, many changes have taken place. The current format for British Superbikes (and WSB for that matter) gives those on 1200cc machines a distinct advantage. For next year, those in charge need to make adjustment and only allow 1000cc bikes to race.
While Shane Byrne is a very good rider, he also has the advantage of the machinery he is riding and this is to the detriment of the sport in general, and to the paying public.
I for one have decided not to attend any BSB meetings this year, purely because of this unfair situation.
I know that others have similar views on this subject, and we cannot all be wrong.
Action is required, and I hope the rule-makers do something about it. Peter Stubbington
