In the late 1980s, side­cars were al­most as big as 500GPS – and Steve Web­ster and Tony He­witt were the class su­per­stars. Web­ster went on to be­come the most suc­cess­ful side­car racer ever, with 10 FIM ti­tles. He dom­i­nated that year’s Bri­tish GP, earn­ing him a full-colour (still a nov­elty) pull-out poster.
