Non-stop ride’s for fools

Motorcycle News (UK) - - THIS WEEK -

So David Gibson did the Costa Del Sol to Cheshire in one hit, in 23 hours? Basic maths says that averages around 73mph. That’s without fuel stops, eat ing and drinking, toilet, traffic, ferry or train crossings, and any other delays. So your true average speed would be much higher, requiring much more concentration, not to mention breaking speed limits by quite some margin. Something to be proud of and boast about? Don’t think so mate; you’re a danger to yourself and others. Darren Playle, email
