Ride to work week

Motorcycle News (UK) - - THIS WEEK -

The annual ride to work week starts next Monday. The scheme, inaugurated by the Motorcycle Industry Association, is designed to get bikers and non-bikers to use two wheels for the daily commute. They claim that 300 hours can be saved each year by using bikes to get to work, based on time saved in traffic and the benefits of convenient city-centre parking.

They also claim that if 10% of drivers switched to bikes, congestion would be reduced by 40% and it would be 20% easier to park.
