Rossi blows big chance
Yamaha star crashes while leading with four laps to go
While Sunday’s race might have ended in disaster for Rossi, he was still able to celebrate on Sunday evening after watching not only Team Sky VR46 rider Pecco Bagnaia win the Moto2 title but also getting to see brother Luca Marini win his first ever Grand Prix as well. He revealed afterwards that it was an emotional day.
“I felt like I had to sit down for three hours after Luca’s race to recover. I even cried a little bit, and it was difficult to go out and do my own race. It was an unbelievable feeling for us and an unforgettable day for us all. Luca has impressed me this year with his improvement and I am so proud of him.”
