The only thing not to like about this bike is the price. At £9469 it’s £1470 more than the MX model and only £3k less than Honda’s 1000cc Africa Twin Adventure Sport. And that’s a shame because in a market where firms constantly try to outgun each other in terms of bhp, the CRF450L makes for a refreshing change.
Easy to live with, exceptionally quiet and more capable than the spec sheet suggests, it fits the bill as a weekly trail ride tool or a long-distance adventurer.
As an all-round package it fills a niche and is very capable even on the road thanks to its high sixth gear.
