Bikers in Canada

Motorcycle Sport & Leisure - - Long Ride -

One feature of the trip that I’ve left to last is a comment on the spirit of biking in Canada. One of the many delights was the feeling of biking community on the roads over there. Everyone waves to everyone, and that includes fabulously attired members of the Harley tribe that look like they are straight out of Nashville to tourists on their modest CB500X’s. Bikers of all stripes wandered over at camps to have a natter about us and our bikes, and similarly were open to a chat when I wandered over to admire their Harley or Indian or Triumph Rocket. I’m sure there are bike snobs in Canada that won’t be so friendly, but I didn’t meet any. The feeling of community on the trip is one of the things I have taken away as a lasting and moving memory.
