David’s Maintenance Tips
If you don’t drain it for the winter, it pays to start up the lawnmower and let it tick over for five minutes to keep everything working. On mild days, if the ground is not too wet and the wheels don’t sink into it, David will run over the lawn with the blades set high. It scoops up any fallen leaves and, chopped up and mixed with a small amount of grass, they will compost easily. Turn off and protect outside taps and wash greenhouse glass so that maximum light can get to overwintering plants.
