Three Mark Millar comics that would make amazing TV shows

Netflix have bought the rights to the Kick-ass writer’s publishing house, Millarworld. Expect to see one or all of these on a screen near you, soon

NME - - FRONT PAGE - Nemesis hit-girl Super Crooks

Not one of Millar’s best, but a left-field take on the superhero genre. Thought Batman could be a bit of an a**ehole? Nemesis makes him look like Mother Teresa. He’s gritty, bloody, doesn’t give a s**t and is the definition of ‘love to hate’.

A brutal teen drama. Mindy Mccready, AKA Hit-girl, is the best thing about the Kick-ass films and comics, and Chloë Grace Moretz is so synonymous with the diminutive badass it’s hard to imagine anyone replacing her.

“When you go into the store, ask for the climate-friendly alternatives. This sends a signal to businesses that the market for these alternative products is growing. We’re already seeing many businesses advertising that they’re greener than the competition. Help the others reach the tipping point.”

Alex Flood cinemas now is in A fast-paced story that follows a group of villains as they embark on one last heist. Imagine Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels spliced with (a better) Suicide Squad, all rolled into an hour-long TV format. Ace. Claire Lim

Chance the Rapper

Was personally thanked by Barack Obama during his free surprise show in their shared hometown of Chicago. Big.

Had a wedding. Used loads of flame-throwers. The very opposite of low-key.

a$ap Rocky

Was accidentally called Whatsapp Ricky by Liam Gallagher. LOL.

Will cease trading in October. Sad news for Royal Mail film fans.
