The high street one
L’oreal Paris Infallible 24h Foundation, £9.99
The brand’s hype: “High coverage long-wear foundation that hides the appearance of fatigue and blemishes. Now with Hydrating Hyaluron Comlex the 24H non-stop formula is touch-proof and stays fresh for lasting comfort.”
Verdict: Although it did end up drying out a little, my skin didn’t feel tight and the coverage was medium, so for £10 it’s really good. However, they only have eight shades which is poor compared to the other foundations.
This one feels runnier than the others, so it’s very easy to apply and blend. However, after a few minutes it sets and feels more like a long-wear formulation.
The coverage of this isn’t as complete as some of the other brands, but the skin appears natural and not particularly caked in make-up.
By the end of the work day, the tell-tale dry patches of most long-wear formulations are starting to appear, especially around the nose and chin.
