The cult one
Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation, £31
The brand’s hype: “Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation provides maximum, long-lasting coverage without feeling or looking heavy. It blends easily and hides problem areas perfectly.”
Verdict: The coverage of this is phenomenal so it’s a good option if you have acne scars, pigmentation or rosacea. It’s not right for dry or normal skin, but it will work on oily skin and the shade selection is second to none!
This is tricky to apply. After experimenting, I found you need to be quick – get it on straight after your moisturiser as it really needs your skin to still be moist.
The coverage is amazing. There’s no denying that this covers every flaw on your face – there’s no need for concealer. But it’s started to gather in dry areas by lunch.
By the end of the day, patches are appearing, especially around the chin and upper lip. It’s actually looking a bit flakey and powdery all over.
