Tips to make your nail polish last:

No. 1 Magazine - - HEALTH & BEAUTY -

There are a few tips and tricks that can stretch the wear of your fave nail varnish just a little bit longer... 1. Before you apply any varnish, even if you have nothing at all on your nails, use a nail varnish remover as this will remove any oils or debris from the nail bed. 2. Although it’s a pain and adds to your nail varnish application time, a base coat really is useful if you want your manicure to last. Look for one with nail moisturising properties so that at least it’s also helping to strengthen them. 3. When it comes to applying your chosen colour, remember less is more – don’t flood the nail with too much varnish. Start with one very thin layer, allow it to dry and then add another thin layer. 4. Just like the base coat, a top coat is something we’re often tempted to skip, but for real longevity – don’t! Apply in two very thin layers, same as you did with your colour, and be patient – give it time to dry completely before you do anything with your hands!
