No. 1 Magazine - - SCOTLAND’S NO.1 FOR HEALTH -

Why was it a no-go? Obviously it’s irresponsible to claim that alcohol is ‘good for your health’ and therefore most varieties of alcohol have been clumped together under the same ‘bad’ label for decades. Why they were wrong: Now studies have found that some types of alcohol, namely red wine, actually do have some health benefits. Red wine contains anti-oxidants that can protect the body’s cells against damage. It’s also been linked to lowering the risk of some dental diseases, protecting against certain cancers and potentially slowing memory loss.

FACT: A Korean study linked red wine consumption to a drop in weight gain!
