couple of issues ago we showed the stunning make-over of our reader Jessica who was looking for a glam make-up look for daytime as she’s getting married later in the year. What we didn’t tell you is that Jessica had originally got in touch to tell us about her wonderful mum Sharleen. She told us, “I am emailing you to tell you why my mum Sharleen, 45, is deserving of a No.1 Reader Make-over. “In the last five years my mum has gone through more than most. Firstly, she helped to diagnose my nephew’s diabetes which had been left untreated for three years. The difference to his health is amazing. “Also, my mum works as a Staff Nurse and late last year she volunteered as a soldier in the Territorial Army and went to Afghanistan and served as a nurse for six months. I am so incredibly proud of her.” Jessica continued, “Earlier this month, my stepfather was diagnosed with cancer which has affected our

family quite badly. My mum, being the selfless person she is, has continued to put everyone else first and create positivity regardless of the situation. “My mum truly is an angel without wings and I really couldn’t think of anyone more deserving.” Sharleen is clearly an amazing lady so we just had to get her along to a No.1 Make-over Day for a special treat and to give her some much-deserved pampering.
