“It’s so sad that put a selfie out
EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW No.1’ s Rosie caught up with Lorraine Kelly to chat
How does working out make you feel? You know, whenever I feel a little bit tired, stressed and overwhelmed – as we all can – exercise really helps me. It actually gives me more energy! Like I said, it’s a cracking stress buster too. It just makes me feel so much better within myself. Exercise has become part of my life and I look forward to it – I’ve trained for marathons in the past and I certainly did not look forward to that!
You’re on TV almost every day, which must sometimes still be daunting, what gives you confidence when you’re on screen? I’m at the point where I have been doing it for so long, that just doing it gives me confidence. It really helps when you can wear what you like and feel good about yourself, because that shows. In the past I’ve felt I had to wear things to cover me up and hide my body but now I choose my outfits to show off certain parts of my body because I’m in a good frame of mind. Nobody has ever pressured me to look a certain way because breakfast television isn’t like that.
What advice can you offer to women who aren’t body confident? I think if you’re not feeling confident about your figure then just take the plunge and make that change. You don’t need to jump in head first and do anything drastic – get the DVD and try it in the comfort of your home while still getting all the amazing benefits that come with a class. The key to sticking to a fitness regime is finding something you really enjoy. So give the DVD a try or with someone else, doing it with other people can be great as you will encourage each other. And remember, everything takes time – eventually you’ll see the results and that’s the most amazing confidence booster.
What about women who struggle to find the time to work out – what would you advise they do? Get yourself a pair of comfy shoes and walk! I walk everywhere when I’m out and about, and it really does make a difference. Of course, the DVD is ideal for people who can’t
