How does work­ing out make you feel? You know, when­ever I feel a lit­tle bit tired, stressed and over­whelmed – as we all can – ex­er­cise re­ally helps me. It ac­tu­ally gives me more en­ergy! Like I said, it’s a crack­ing stress buster too. It just makes me feel so much bet­ter within my­self. Ex­er­cise has be­come part of my life and I look for­ward to it – I’ve trained for marathons in the past and I cer­tainly did not look for­ward to that!

You’re on TV al­most every day, which must some­times still be daunt­ing, what gives you con­fi­dence when you’re on screen? I’m at the point where I have been do­ing it for so long, that just do­ing it gives me con­fi­dence. It re­ally helps when you can wear what you like and feel good about your­self, be­cause that shows. In the past I’ve felt I had to wear things to cover me up and hide my body but now I choose my out­fits to show off cer­tain parts of my body be­cause I’m in a good frame of mind. No­body has ever pres­sured me to look a cer­tain way be­cause break­fast tele­vi­sion isn’t like that.

What ad­vice can you of­fer to women who aren’t body con­fi­dent? I think if you’re not feel­ing con­fi­dent about your fig­ure then just take the plunge and make that change. You don’t need to jump in head first and do any­thing dras­tic – get the DVD and try it in the com­fort of your home while still get­ting all the amaz­ing ben­e­fits that come with a class. The key to stick­ing to a fit­ness regime is find­ing some­thing you re­ally en­joy. So give the DVD a try or with some­one else, do­ing it with other peo­ple can be great as you will en­cour­age each other. And re­mem­ber, ev­ery­thing takes time – even­tu­ally you’ll see the re­sults and that’s the most amaz­ing con­fi­dence booster.

What about women who strug­gle to find the time to work out – what would you ad­vise they do? Get your­self a pair of comfy shoes and walk! I walk ev­ery­where when I’m out and about, and it re­ally does make a dif­fer­ence. Of course, the DVD is ideal for peo­ple who can’t
