Who says we can’t do that?
I think sexism does exist in the kitchen but it really depends on the kitchen you are working in. I haven’t been exposed to it luckily enough. I think more could be done at school to promote being a chef to young women as a career. Being a chef is never seen as a “good” career choice when at school. In my experience, the focus was on academic subjects. I did go to university and do my degree and postgraduate diploma, however becoming a chef offers much more excitement and opportunities and it is a job you can travel the world with.
