We love watch­ing Strictly Come Danc­ing and The Great Bri­tish Bake Off as much as the next per­son, and boy do we know that Face­book can be equally cap­ti­vat­ing. How­ever, ha­bit­u­ally stay­ing at home on the sofa watch­ing TV or surf­ing the in­ter­net will al­most cer­tainly turn you into a couch potato with an ex­pand­ing waist­line, square eyes and maybe feel­ing that you’re miss­ing out do­ing more pro­duc­tive or fun ac­tiv­i­ties. Is it time to shake things up and turn off the TV or com­puter? Or you could cut back and limit your­self to your favourite shows and in­stead spend your spare time pur­su­ing a hobby, walk­ing with fam­ily and friends, read­ing a book or get­ting jobs done around the house. Do you watch the news mul­ti­ple times ev­ery­day or watch ag­gres­sion­filled shows? Con­sider watch­ing only pro­grammes and web­sites that are pos­i­tive and uplift­ing. Less time look­ing at a screen and more time do­ing pro­duc­tive and fun things will help you feel health­ier and hap­pier.
