I’ ve dreamed of working for Benefit since I was 14 years old.

After visiting my local counter for the first time, I knew working there was exactly where I wanted to be. I’d save up my pocket money to purchase a Benefit product every month!

In 2017, I was hand-picked to become a part of Benefit Cosmetics’ first ever National Trend Team.

Through this, alongside my daily role working at the Benefit make-up counter, I also offer one to one make-up lessons and hold masterclasses.

The masterclasses are always super exciting!

They’re the best way for customers to see the latest make-up trends, learn some top tips and get a first look at any new products we bring out.

My role in the Trend Team is really special.

I’m one of only four Trend Artists in the whole of Scotland, and there’s just under 30 of us nationwide. Being on this elite team also gives me lots of opportunities to travel and work at exciting events.

As soon as my alarm goes off, the first thing on my mind is breakfast.

First I’ll cleanse my skin and then head downstairs to pour myself a nice big bowl of cereal. I’ll then go back upstairs to moisturise and give it time to absorb into my skin. Once that’s done I’ll then get dressed and blast some music.

Listening to music whilst I get ready in the morning is the key to starting my day off right!

My music taste is quite unusual for my age. I’ll happily choose Kylie Minogue over Cardi B, and I’m far more cultured in musical show tunes than the UK Top 40 Chart!

I like to spend a bit of time on my make-up in the morning.

My full routine usually takes me around half an hour, although this is entirely dependent on how well my eyebrows are willing to cooperate! After my make-up, I’ll style my hair then head to work.

I’m based in the Boots store in Braehead but being part of the Trend Team means I can go anywhere.

Every other month I can be travelling to London for a masterclass, Liverpool for a PR event or Leicester for a national sales meeting. The opportunities are endless and every day is different. I absolutely love that!

My favourite part of the job is being able to do something I’m passionate about every day.

I get to help women look and feel their very best on a daily basis. I really am at my absolute happiest when I’m working! I love taking the time to make real connections with the customers.

If I didn’t work for Benefit, I’d probably be pursuing my other passion...

musical theatre! I’ve always loved performing on stage.

I’ve been lucky to tick off some of my biggest career dreams before I even turned 18.

My biggest achievement so far was being hand-selected by Benefit’s Head Make-up Artist, Lisa Potter-dixon, to assist her at London Fashion Week. This was something I’d always dreamed of doing. I remember sitting watching videos of LFW during my lunch break at school!

If I ever needed help, I know I can always rely on the Benefit team.

My managers Claire, Susan and Hannah are always there for support. We have a wonderful dynamic and there’s such a strong bond between us all.

Through Benefit, I’ve learned so many invaluable pieces of advice.

My favourite motto is to always follow your dreams regardless of how wild, crazy, or out of reach they may seem.

When I have time off, I almost don’t know what to do with myself.

I like to keep busy however and it’s so important for

me to spend time with my family and friends. On my days off, I like to go out for lunch with my best friend or head into Glasgow for a shopping trip with my mum.

Relaxing in the evening is a work in progress for me!

I’ll come home buzzing with energy from work, so winding down can sometimes be a little bit tricky. I’ve recently started meditation with a mindfulness app on my phone which has helped me a lot. But I’m definitely a bit of a night owl!
