Sir Terry Wogan filming in Conwy
LEGENDARY broadcaster Sir Terry Wogan has been spotted filming a new BBC2 show in Conwy.
Irish charmer Sir Terry was filming for Terry and Mason’s Great Food Trip at the award-winning Tan Lan Bakery on Tuesday.
In the 20-episode series, which also features A Cabbie Abroad star Mason McQueen, the pair will be taking inspiration from Samuel Chamberlain’s 1963 book British Banquet: An Epicurean Tour of Britain as they eat and drink their way across the country in a black cab.
The duo filmed in Chester on Monday and Sir Terry described the new programme to the Chester Chronicle as a “fearless pursuit of epicurean excellence”.
He added: “I’ve taken the high road in the back seat of Mason’s black London cab as together we travel the country, meeting the people, seeing the sights and forcing down the occasional mouthful of food.”
Terry and Mason’s Great Food Trip, which also takes in Bristol, Scarborough and Bath, will air later this year.
