PROBUS CLUB OF ORMESIDE: Chair­man David Bond opened the meet­ing, held at Maesdu Golf Club on Wed­nes­day June 17 by wel­com­ing the mem­bers and the speaker Peter Jarvis and his wife Su­san. Dr Jarvis was a di­rec­tor in 1993 at Bletch­ley Park Trust Lim­ited which was in­stru­men­tal in sav­ing this trea­sured her­itage site. The Code Break­ers’ ac­tiv­i­ties had a di­rect in­flu­ence on the out­come of the Sec­ond World War. The vote of thanks was given by John Vick­ers RO­TARY: Past Pres­i­dent Steve But­ler opened the meet­ing on Tues by wel­com­ing mem­bers and their guests. He asked Michael Pearce to in­tro­duce Joan Rakhar from North Wales Par­rot Res­cue which is a non profit res­cue based in Craig y Don. Joan brought a macaw and a cock­a­too with her and de­scribed their be­hav­iour pat­terns.
