Peak chal­lenge raises £400

FUNDRAIS­ERS made £400 for char­ity af­ter an epic moun­tain trek.

The own­ers and staff of Garth Mo­tors in De­ganwy spon­sored four walk­ers from RAF Con­ingsby, Lin­colnshire on the ‘14 Peaks Chal­lenge’ in Snow­do­nia.

On the ‘Armed Forces Week­end’ the team took 22 hours 35 min­utes to com­plete the chal­lenge.

The con­di­tions were ap­palling at times but they com­pleted the chal­lenge by 2.35am on the Mon­day morn­ing.

The team was joined for the last nine hours by Garth Mo­tors staff Stephen Hughes and Nigel Trapp.

Their cho­sen char­ity is the Lin­colnshire Bomber Com­mand Me­mo­rial. A Garth Mo­tors spokesman said: “A big well done to all the walk­ers.”
