Peak challenge raises £400
FUNDRAISERS made £400 for charity after an epic mountain trek.
The owners and staff of Garth Motors in Deganwy sponsored four walkers from RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire on the ‘14 Peaks Challenge’ in Snowdonia.
On the ‘Armed Forces Weekend’ the team took 22 hours 35 minutes to complete the challenge.
The conditions were appalling at times but they completed the challenge by 2.35am on the Monday morning.
The team was joined for the last nine hours by Garth Motors staff Stephen Hughes and Nigel Trapp.
Their chosen charity is the Lincolnshire Bomber Command Memorial. A Garth Motors spokesman said: “A big well done to all the walkers.”
