I’VE spent many years en­joy­ing the sport of angling, fish­ing in small ponds, sea fish­ing and for the last 40 years fish­ing for trout, sea trout and salmon.

Af­ter re­tir­ing I de­cided to put as much back into fish­ing in gen­eral be­cause of the plea­sure the sport has given me. I’m also keen to en­cour­age young­sters to take up the sport, as well as mak­ing the public aware of the con­ser­va­tion ben­e­fits of fish­ing.

I am sec­re­tary of the Den­bigh & Cl­wyd Angling Club, chair­man of the Fed­er­a­tion of Cl­wyd Angling Clubs and sec­re­tary of the Cl­wyd, Conwy & Gwynedd Rivers Trust.

I also sit on the Dee & Cl­wyd Lo­cal Fish­eries Ad­vi­sory Group and I am a founder and chair­man of the Cam­paign for the Pro­tec­tion of Welsh Fish­eries.
