ROLL up for an afternoon of fun at Ty’n-y-groes’ Annual Fun Day on Saturday August 1 from 1pm to 5pm – although if the weather holds fair it will probably keep going longer! Free entry to the field – just follow the bunting to get there.

One of the highlights of the day will be “Ty’n-y-groes Showtime”. We already have several people booked to perform and have had to extend the programme time to fit them. Then there’s the line dancing challenge – open to all ages; we had so much fun with this last year and of course there will be the clown workshops and bouncy castle, side shows, fun games, lucky dip and stalls.

Hayley Roberts, confectionery gold medallist, is looking forward to judging the decorated cake competition, so let’s make sure she has plenty to judge at 3pm. The winner will be announced at 4pm.

Raffle tickets will be available to buy on the field, 1st prize £100, 2nd prize £75, 3rd prize £50, plus many other prizes.

Friday evening will be really busy as we set up tents and gazebos, mark out the football pitch and race lines. If any local resident can spare an hour or so to help with the tents they will be warmly welcomed.
