YOUR four-legged friend could make a huge dif­fer­ence to your lo­cal hos­pice by tak­ing part in the Woofs and Wellies event.

On Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 4, St David’s Hos­pice is or­gan­is­ing a spon­sored dog walk which will raise vi­tal funds for end-of-life care for adults from across North West Wales.

Woofs and Wellies is a three-mile leisurely walk start­ing at 1pm from the Hos­pice on Abbey Road, Llan­dudno, and pick­ing up the coastal path along West Shore beach head­ing to­wards De­ganwy prom­e­nade, then re­turn­ing back to the hos­pice. Café Dewi (the Hos­pice café) will be open be­tween the hours of 1-4pm pro­vid­ing well-earned light snacks and re­fresh­ments.

Agnes Jones, Com­mu­nity Fundraiser, said: “It’s a lovely event. The dogs, of all shapes and sizes, look won­der­ful in their hos­pice doggy bow ties.

“We’re hop­ing this year will have the same fam­ily feel­ing and that peo­ple will take ad­van­tage of the op­por­tu­nity to walk their dogs and en­joy some fam­ily time.

“The en­try fee is per dog, own­ers walk for free, and we ask that you could please raise a min­i­mum spon­sor­ship of £15.”

En­try for Woofs and Wellies is £5 for dogs which in­cludes the free doggy bow tie. For fur­ther in­for­ma­tion call St David’s Hos­pice on 01492 873674.
