The as­set man­age­ment team at Northamp­ton Bor­ough Coun­cil have re­cently agreed a new 20-year lease on a 6,000 sq ft re­tail unit at 44-54 St Giles Street, pic­tured right, for a mixed use of re­tail/res­tau­rant and res­i­den­tial ac­com­mo­da­tion. Also, a new lease has just been agreed to the Northamp­ton­shire Blind As­so­ci­a­tion of the 2,000 sq ft ex-hous­ing of­fice at Kingsthorpe. This con­sisted of an­other long lease for a term of 10 years and the ten­ants are look­ing to carry out sig­nif­i­cant works to adapt the unit for their spe­cific re­quire­ments. The coun­cil is mar­ket­ing a sub­stan­tial of­fice unit at 13 Guild­hall Road which con­sists of 5800 sq ft of of­fice ac­com­mo­da­tion over three floors. This is con­ve­niently lo­cated in the at­trac­tive Cul­tural Quar­ter of the town­cen­tre and is avail­able to let at a rent of £21,000 pa.
