Boss is looking for right combination
AITOR Karanka knows what his midfield pairing will be to face Stoke City this weekend - but also knows it will only be viewed as the right choice, if the Reds claim another win at the City Ground.
Jack Colback has been in good form this season and is available again after completing his suspension.
But Claudio Yacob also made an impressive debut against Sheffield United last weekend, alongside Adlene Guedioura, who also performed well for the Reds, as they notched up a 1-0 win over the Blades.
With Ben Watson also pushing for a return to the side, Karanka has some quality options in the heart of the pitch.

“I know, already, who is going to play,” said Karanka.
“After the game, if I play with Claudio and we win, nothing will be said. If we lose, people will say that I should have played Jack.
“If I pick Jack, and we lose, people will say I should not have played him - but I know this.
“This is my job and, once again, I will try to make the right decision.
“It is an easy decision for me to make.”
Karanka offered fresh praise for Yacob, following his first appearance for the Reds.
Although it remains to be seen whether that is a hint at what his starting line-up might be, against Gary Rowett’s side.
“I was really pleased for Claudio, because when you arrive to a team in the Championship, having played for the last six seasons in the Premier League, you want to play,” said Karanka.
“But he understood perfectly, what his situation was. He was working really hard and has been since he arrived here.
“When he got his chance he played really well.
“It was a difficult game, because Jack is an important player for us. But we did not miss Jack and we did not miss Foxy. That was the main thing. The players who played in their positions - Claudio and Michael
