Notts have nothing to lose in Cup
HARRY Kewell accepts Notts County face a tall order to secure FA Cup glory at Barnsley but says his side having nothing to fear.
The Magpies make the trip to Oakwell for the first round clash today with the bookies making the Tykes favourites to go through.
With Barnsley fourth in League One, Notts will have to produce one of their best performances of the season if they are to secure an upset. But boss Kewell says that while the odds are against his side, he thinks they have the ability to cause Barnsley problems.
“The FA Cup has so much history and if you get a chance to play in it then you have to grab it with both hands,” he said. “We know it will be a tough game but if you’re going to enter a competition you might as well face one of the best teams and Barnsley are firing on all cylinders.
“They are expected to win the game so we have nothing to lose and the pressure is off us.’’
