David Beckham again proved that he’s the greatest dad on the planet after spending almost a week constructing a massive Lego castle for his six-year-old daughter Harper. Brick fan Becks documented his mammoth task from start to finish, from the perusal of the instruction booklet to the final product.

David, 42, posed proudly – and, inexplicably, topless – with the Lego Disney castle he took six days to complete, saying: ‘1am done… Someone’s gonna have a nice surprise in the morning.’

Earlier in the week, David posted a picture of himself crouched over a sun lounger with some Lego bricks, with the caption: ‘Page 1 of the Disney castle. 4,000 pieces 490 pages of instructions I look confused but I’m so excited.’ And he did it!

David’s a long-time Lego fan, having already built a Lego Tower Bridge and the Taj Mahal before. He once even admitted he’d love to take it up for a living. ‘I know it’s not a career but I love doing it and would like to be a professional Lego builder,’ he revealed. You’ve done yourself proud with this one, Dave.

Day one: it’s all bit complicated Day six: 144 hours later – ta-dah!
