Reality mums attack Cheryl over her post-baby body
Cheryl waited almost six months before making her first official public appearance since the birth of son Bear, showing off her toned tummy at a charity football match earlier this month.
But last week she came under fire from reality mums who disagreed with her decision to seemingly keep herself in hiding until she was happy with showing off her post-baby body.
New mum Danielle Lloyd is the latest star to hit out at Cheryl – who gave birth to son Bear back in March – and other celeb mums by calling for them to focus on their families rather than caring about what people will think of their body shape.
Danielle, 33, took to Instagram to say, ‘Whether you’re Cheryl, Chanelle Hayes or Serena Williams – should any of us even be worrying about what people think of our bodies after bringing a new life into the world?… Let’s all start focusing on what’s REALLY important, looking after our kids.’
And while Cheryl has kept herself out of the limelight – only uploading a handful of selfies in the weeks leading up to her big reveal – her boyfriend Liam Payne spilled, ‘She’s worked very hard for what she’s got and it’s an inspiration for everyone out there.’
But this infuriated Chanelle Hayes, who tweeted, ‘She [Chezza] didn’t need to hide away until she was back slim because it’s setting a negative example for other mums out there who just can’t slip back into shape so easily.’
Meanwhile, despite her remarks, Danielle didn’t shy away from showing off her own post-baby body. She wrote: ‘I had my baby one week ago, and this is me. Simply me. I’ve had no time to go to the gym or diet in a week, of course I’ve been with my newborn.’
And although Made in Chelsea’s Binky Felstead, who gave birth to daughter India back in June, said how amazing Cheryl looked, she admitted getting in shape wasn’t ‘real-life’ for her at the moment. time for a reality check, Chezza?
