Brian Mcfadden & Keith Duffy

Brian mcfadden & Keith Duffy:

Now (UK) - - News -

Boyzlife members Keith Duffy, 43, and Brian Mcfadden, 37, have four children between them. Keith is dad to Jay, 21, and Mia, 17, with wife Lisa, while Brian is dad to Molly, 16, and Lilly-sue, 14, with ex-wife Kerry Katona. Hey guys! Do the kids love your music?

K My son Jay in the earlier years would have been like, ‘Dad, what are you doing?’ Now that they’re older they understand it’s what we do. They think it’s kinda cool! How would your children describe you?

B In three letters rather than three words. That would be ATM (laughs).

(Now laughs) Are they always on you for money?

B Molly wanted to go on this school trip so I told her if she raised half the money, I would give her the rest. It’s a good way to do it rather than giving her anything she wants…

What’s been your biggest challenge as dads?

K I had a daughter with a disability. That’s years of frustration and upset. (Keith’s daughter Mia has autism).

B Absence is probably our biggest challenge. We were always on tour and travelling.

K We were too young. I missed out. I’m at an age now where I would really enjoy kids.

B I can’t believe we have kids in their teens and twenties now… If the kids are naughty, what do you do?

K Because we (Boyzone) were away so much, it wasn’t fair for us to be the police. Mum’s job was to chastise and enforce the law! What do you enjoy doing at the weekends?

B We go to the driving range together. Kids are so different to what we were like – all they want to bloody do is watch box sets. Really?

B When I was a kid we had to be dragged inside. My kids, you have to kick them out.

How do you get them to go out? B Take their ipads away.

K Lock them out! Close the door!
