A lot has happened to the original reality family over the past decade
Long before the Kardashians even hit our screens, another family ruled reality TV
– the Osbournes.
But since their US TV show ended in 2005, they’ve rarely been on our screens all together. That was until Sharon, Kelly and Jack appeared on a recent episode of The X Factor, helping mum Sharon choose her final acts at judges’ houses – with Ozzy noticeably absent. So what’s changed for talentshow judge Sharon, husband Ozzy, and children Kelly and Jack over the past 12 years? Throughout their 35-year marriage, Sharon, 65, and Ozzy, 68, have always had a turbulent relationship. She’s supported him through thick and thin, including his drink and drugs relapse in 2013 after 10 years of being clean and sober. But in 2016, Sharon was pushed to the brink when she discovered Ozzy had had a string of affairs, including a four-year fling with hairdresser Michelle Pugh, 46. Speaking after throwing him out of their home, Sharon hinted she was close to divorcing her husband, saying, ‘I can’t keep living like this.’ However, the outspoken star has revealed they’re firmly back on track after renewing their wedding vows earlier this year. In a recent interview, Sharon confessed, ‘My hubby, as I call him a dirty dog, he might be a dirty dog, but he’s my dirty dog. I’ve known him since I was 18 and I’m 64, can you believe it?’
Meanwhile, their daughter Kelly, 32, has had an equally up-and-down love life. After enjoying high-profile relationships – including a short-lived engagement to Luke Worrall – the former singer announced her engagement to Matthew Mosshart. But just seven months later, the pair split and she’s now been linked to singer Dustin Lynch.
The star has also undergone quite the transformation, having yo-yoed in weight throughout her time in the public eye, after turning to food to replace her drugs habit.
She famously dropped 5st during her time on Dancing with the Stars – but Kelly now has a healthy approach to her body battle, saying she no longer strives for ‘perfection’.
Elsewhere, Kelly’s brother Jack, 31, has faced a tough battle of his own. The youngest Osbourne sibling was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2012. Speaking about living with his condition, the former Dancing with the Stars contestant said, ‘It’s a bit of a rollercoaster,
[ but] I try and stay positive.’
And Jack – who is now 14 years sober and clean after a stint in rehab for a painkiller addiction – has also found great happiness in his personal life.
He married Lisa Stelly in an intimate ceremony in 2012, and has since had two daughters, Pearl, five, and Andy Rose, two. They are expecting their third child later this year.
Some things stay the same, though. Sticking to their reality roots, the Osbournes have continued to provide plenty of column inches over the years. And with Sharon having confirmed her spot on The X Factor until 2018, we don’t expect that’s going to change any time soon!
