Serena Williams

The new mum is set to return to Wimbledon next year – with her tot in tow

Serena Williams has had the most eventful year: getting engaged, giving birth to her adorable first child, and now she’s busy planning her wedding to Reddit mogul Alexis Ohanian.

But there is no chance of the star putting her feet up any time soon. Now can reveal that the 36-year-old tennis champ is planning her comeback to the courts – and she will even return to Wimbledon.

Tennis ace Greg Rusedski revealed, ‘Serena will be back at Wimbledon next year, and she’ll bring her baby!’

Speaking at the Lanson champagne event at The Shard, Greg, who’s now retired from the sport, said, ‘Wimbledon won’t be the same without Serena. She’s incredible.’

Serena has snapped right back into shape after giving birth to daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr on 1 September. She showed off her amazing post-baby body just two weeks after Alexis’ arrival, thanks to maintaining her exercise regime while pregnant.

Debuting her hot mum look on Snapchat, she wrote, ‘Back in my jean shorts two weeks...’

It’s little wonder the tennis great has been getting back into shape, as Serena is said to be secretly making plans to wed her millionaire entrepreneur beau in a romantic ceremony in New Orleans. The Wimbledon favourite and holder of 23 Grand Slam titles looked great as she arrived in the city last week wearing black leggings and a black leather jacket. Serena and Alexis, 34, took a private jet for a day trip to meet with their wedding planner in the Big Easy early in the morning. After a day of discussing arrangements and looking at prospective venues, the couple made it home in time to see their daughter before bedtime. Sounds like this tennis superstar has already scored an ace at motherhood!
