They’re together, but the Beckhams seem to have done little to dispel rumours
They were scathing about recent divorce speculation, yet David and Victoria Beckham appear more distant than ever.
Eyebrows were raised last week when David, 43, was notably missing from Sir Elton John’s Argento Ball, which marked the 25th anniversary of the singer’s AIDS Foundation. The Grammy winner may be godfather to the eldest of the Beckham brood, but many found it strange for VB to choose son Brooklyn, 19, as her date for the evening – and not Becks himself.
The night before Posh stepped out with Brooklyn, David made a solo appearance at the Young Leaders Awards ceremony. There he met the Queen and spent the evening posing for selfies with fans – while Victoria, 44, wasn’t anywhere to be seen.
Given that both were very important events, fans couldn’t help but speculate over the reasons why David and Victoria decided not to support each other at them…
Just weeks ago, rumours of an imminent split between Britain’s most famous couple circulated social media. Yet their spokesman insisted all was well in the Beckham household, declaring, ‘There is no statement due, no divorce, and a lot of Chinese whispers and fake social media news. This is all very bizarre and an embarrassing waste of time.’
So is there trouble in paradise for Brand Beckham or is it just a case of conflicting schedules?
