Yourlife Trio pass tough maths test

WOOD­LANDS Acad­emy re­cently en­tered a group of maths stu­dents into the 2015 United King­dom Math­e­mat­ics Trust Se­nior Chal­lenge.

Ten stu­dents from West Coven­try Sixth Form were awarded bronze and sil­ver cer­tifi­cates and de­spite the chal­lenge be­ing de­signed for A-level math­e­ma­ti­cians, eight Year 11 Wood­lands stu­dents vol­un­teered to brave the pa­per to test their skills.

A spokesper­son for the school said: “We were de­lighted to hear that three Year 11 stu­dents were awarded bronze cer­tifi­cates, which is fan­tas­tic as the compe- tition is aimed at stu­dents one or two years fur­ther on in their maths stud­ies.”

The Year 11 bronze cer­tifi­cate win­ners are James Ash­more, Sher Singh Lulilidia and Max Jef­fer­son.
