MARKS & Spencer has of­fi­cially signed up to be the an­chor ten­ant at a £60m de­vel­op­ment in Old­ham town cen­tre.

The 130-year-old high street re­tailer ex­changed con­tracts with Old­ham coun­cil ahead of its move to the forth­com­ing Prince’s Gate de­vel­op­ment.

The scheme, at Old­ham Mumps – which will see 150,000 sq ft of ex­tra re­tail space, 800 new homes, in­clud­ing apart­ments, and 700 car park­ing spa­ces – was un­veiled last month and is set to open in 2017. Royal Hos­pi­tal, but died that evening.
