Thugs are hunted over attack on takeaway staff
A TAKEAWAY boss and his chef were attacked and beaten after closing for the evening.
Armed thugs lay in wait for the pair outside the takeaway, on Woodstock Green, Fitton Hill, late on Tuesday, December 9.
The owner locked up the premises and was walking to his car behind the building when he was struck on the head from behind at about 11.15pm.
He was hit repeatedly and when he tried to turn round, he saw his attacker was holding a knife.
The thug shouted ‘give me the money’ while a second man attacked the chef at the takeaway, who was nearby.
A passer-by heard the disturbance and the thugs, along with a third man, ran away down an alleyway towards The Spur.
The first man was mixed race, in his early 20s, slim and wearing dark clothing.
He had a scarf covering his face and a hood covering his head.
The second man was stocky and wearing dark clothing.
He also had a scarf covering his face and a hood covering his head.
Det Con Simon Moyles said: “This was a violent attack and the offenders had actually lain in wait for the victims, making it even more sinister.”
