A NEW felt-based exhibition opens at Gallery Oldham on Valentine’s Day.
Black Sheep – which runs from February 14 to May 9 – is an exploration of the edgier side of felt, looking at artists who create sometimes disturbing and strange pieces from it.
Touring from the National Centre for Craft and Design, the exhibition demonstrates processes used by contemporary artists, with felt teddy bear skulls and mutated organisms by Stephanie Metz, seamless showstopping garments by Horst Couture and sculptural natural form by Marjolein Dallinga.
Gallery Oldham, on Greaves Street, is open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm.
Admission is free.
