GANG JAILED

A GANG which burgled more than 50 homes across the re­gion have been jailed.

James McMillan, 29, of Spring Street, Greenacres, Garry Dunker­ley, 43, of Heron Street, Hollinwood, and Peter Clarke, 27, of HMP For­est Bank, all pleaded guilty to con­spir­acy to com­mit bur­glary at Burn­ley Crown Court.

The gang had ran­sacked res­i­den­tial homes over a four-month pe­riod and hid their ill-got­ten gains in­side pil­low cases taken from their vic­tims beds.

McMillan and Dunker­ley,

were both jailed for six years and Clarke was jailed for four years and eight months. PO­LICE are try­ing to trace the fam­ily of a woman who was found dead.

Linda Clay­ton, 58, died at her home, in High Cromp­ton, on Tues­day, Fe­bru­ary 3. There are no sus­pi­cious cir­cum­stances sur­round­ing her death.
