Art workshop inspires pupils to get creative

Oldham Advertiser - - NEWS -

YOUNGSTERS took inspiration from their school building to create fascinating paper sculptures.

Year 8 students at The Radclyffe worked with artist Gemma Wright to create the origami designs based on photographs and drawings of the state-of-the-art school in Chadderton.

Art teacher Amy Wilson said: “The students are thrilled to be working with Gemma. Her work takes a very contemporary approach, which students don’t often experience.”

The workshop was offered as a reward to pupils who had shown ‘exceptional progress’ in art. The finished items will be displayed in school.
