Deadly goings-on in a thrilling Coliseum play
DISCOVER The Business Of Murder, Richard Harris’ acclaimed psychological thriller, when it comes to Oldham Coliseum this week.
In the play, which had a nine-year run in London’s West End, Stone, a humourless and dour man, invites Dee, a television playwright, over to his flat on the premise of discussing a script.
Once there, she is surprised when Superintendent Hallett, the man with whom she is having an affair, also arrives for an entirely different reason.
Nothing is as it seems, and as the plot twists and turns, Stone’s motive gradually becomes clear.
They are all, it would seem, in the same business... murder.
The Business of Murder stars Robert Gwilym, known for his role as Dr Max Gallagher in Casualty, Paul Opacic, a regular in Bad Girls, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks, and Joanna Higson, who played Maxine Donnelly for two series’ of Shameless.
See it at Oldham Coliseum Theatre, Fairbottom Street, Oldham, OL1 3SW - February 24, 26, 27 and 28, 7.30pm, February 25 and 28, 2.30pm. Tickets £11-£19.50, concessions £11-£17.50, under-26s £5. Call 0161 624 2829 or visit www.coliseum.org.uk/
