-

30 MINUTES + COOLING | CUTS INTO 10 | EASY

These bars provide slow-release energy, so are great for taking on long walks or before exercise. You can swap the dried cherries for dried apricots, raisins, sultanas or dates.

butter (any kind) 100g

runny honey 4 tbsp

mixed seeds 75g

dried cherries 75g, chopped

whole almonds 75g, roughly chopped

rolled oats 200g

dark chocolate chips 75g

Rice Krispies 40g

• Heat the oven to 180C/fan 160C/gas 4 and line a 20cm x 30cm baking tin with baking paper. Melt the butter and honey in a small pan. Put all the remaining ingredients in a bowl then pour over the butter and honey. Mix really well, then tip into the baking tin and use the back of a spoon to compress the mixture. Bake for 20 minutes until just browning at the edges, then cool completely.

• Lift the granola from tin using the baking paper, then cut into 10 bars to serve.
