Ormskirk Advertiser - - Front Page -

THE deadline for applications for secondary school places in West Lancashire is looming.

Online applications are open until 11.59pm on October 31 and can be accessed via the county council’s website.

Parents are asked to remember the need to submit an application form for all children starting school, even if the child has an older sibling at the school concerned.

Included are Ormskirk School, St Bede’s Catholic High, Burscough Priory Science College, Scarisbrick Hall School, Upholland High, Hope High, West Lancashire High and Lathom High School.

If you’re applying for a primary school place, the closing date is January 15, 2017, but an early application gives extra time in case there are queries.

For more information, go to www.lancashire.gov. uk/schools where you’ll find all the information you need.

Parents whose children attend Lancashire primary schools or academies, but live in another local authority area, should apply via the local authority where they live.
