Mayor’s funding finale

MAYOR of West Lancashire Cllr Liz Savage is rounding off her fundraisin­g for the year in fine style with three exciting events.

Cllr Savage has been working hard with the Mayor’s Charity Committee to raise money for the neonatal unit at Ormskirk Hospital; the Artz Centre, Birch Green; The Civic in Ormskirk and the Birchwood Centre, Skelmersda­le.

On Thursday, March 30, there will be a tea dance at The Civic 2pm-4pm. Tickets (£5) can be bought from the Civic on 01695 576607 or Ann England on 01695 585033, or email ann.england@ westlancs.gov.uk

Easter Bingo is on Friday April 7 at St Anne’s Parish Centre on Prescot Road, Ormskirk, at 7.30pm. Entry is £2 including refreshmen­ts and advance tickets can be bought from The Civic, Barn Owl on Moor Street and Mooney Everett Solicitors in Ormskirk.

Thehe big finale is the Mayor’s Showcase at Hurlston Hall Golf Club on Friday April 21. Musical entertainm­ent to be provided by the Artz Centre as well as a disco, auction and a raffle.
