Edge Hill on awards short­list

EDGE Hill has been short­listed for the Best Univer­sity Em­ploy­a­bil­ity Strat­egy award at the TARGETjobs National Grad­u­ate Re­cruit­ment Awards 2017.

The win­ners of what is the largest early ca­reers re­cruit­ment awards in Europe will be an­nounced at a cer­e­mony at Lon­don’s Grosvenor House ho­tel on March 30. Or­gan­is­ers counted nearly 100,000 in­di­vid­ual votes from un­der­grad­u­ates, ap­pren­tices and school-leavers.

This award cel­e­brates the achieve­ments be­ing made by higher ed­u­ca­tion in­sti­tu­tions to en­sure their un­der­grad­u­ates are best equipped to achieve their po­ten­tial when search­ing and ap­ply­ing for grad­u­ate roles and tran­si­tion­ing to em­ploy­ment.

Jac­qui Howe, head of ca­reers at Edge Hill, said: “I’m de­lighted the univer­sity has been short­listed for this pres­ti­gious award, it is in­cred­i­bly im­por­tant recog­ni­tion of the work the ca­reers team, de­part­men­tal col­leagues and all in the univer­sity do to en­sure grad­u­ates achieve suc­cess in their ca­reers.”
