Easter fun on of­fer for your lit­tle rangers

CHIL­DREN can have fan­tas­tic fun for free at Ju­nior Rangers Club events or­gan­ised by West Lan­cashire Bor­ough Coun­cil’s Parks and Coun­try­side Ranger Ser­vice.

The fun starts on Sun­day, April 2 when chil­dren can join the coun­cil’s rangers for themed crafts and ac­tiv­i­ties at the Easter Egg Bands event at Coro­na­tion Park, Orm­skirk. Meet­ing point is the park’s bowl­ing pavil­ion at 2pm.

The next event is the Ju­nior Rangers Easter Spring­watch event at Bea­con Coun­try Park, Up Hol­land, on Tues­day, April 4. Young­sters can en­joy themed crafts and ac­tiv­i­ties to take a closer look at the park’s wildlife and learn more about the sea­sonal changes and chal­lenges fac­ing our na­tive plants and an­i­mals.

Meet­ing point is the park’s vis­i­tor cen­tre at 2pm.

More craft ac­tiv­i­ties take place at the Ju­nior Rangers Easter event at Stan­ley Coro­na­tion Park, Skelmers­dale, on Mon­day, April 10, start­ing from 2pm at the bowl­ing pavil­ion.

A sim­i­lar event takes place at Rich­mond Park, Burscough, on Wed­nes­day, April 12, start­ing from the park’s bowl­ing pavil­ion.

The Ju­nior Rangers can also en­joy an Easter Egg Hunt on Tues­day, April 11, at Bea­con Coun­try Park, start­ing from the vis­i­tor cen­tre.

All Ju­nior Rangers events are open to chil­dren aged be­tween five and 12 years of age. Places must be booked in ad­vance – phone 01695 622794 up to seven days be­fore the event.
