Secure your vote as county coun­cil polls loom

PEO­PLE in Lan­cashire will go to the polls on Thurs­day, May 4, for the county coun­cil elec­tions.

It is im­por­tant that peo­ple don’t miss the chance to have their say on elec­tion day.

Vot­ers are re­minded that they must be reg­is­tered to vote and that the dead­line for reg­is­tra­tions is this week - Thurs­day, April 13.

Peo­ple can regis­ter on­line to vote at­ter-tovote.

The county coun­cil pro­vides around 85% of lo­cal gov­ern­ment ser­vices in Lan­cashire.

Those ser­vices in­clude fos­ter­ing and adop­tion, health and so­cial care, cul­tural ser­vices, reg­is­ter­ing births, deaths and mar­riages; re­cy­cling, and high­ways and trans­port.
