An egg-stra special gift for children

-

ORMSKIRK’S Toby Carvery has helped make Easter a little sweeter this year by collecting 212 Easter eggs for the children’s ward at Ormskirk and District General Hospital.

The restaurant in County Road called on guests and the local community to donate chocolate eggs between March 6 and April 7, as staff wanted to make sure that everyone on the children’s ward could enjoy a chocolate treat this Easter.

The eggs were presented to the Ormskirk and District General Hospital to the delight of the children, just in time for Easter Sunday.

Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust provides healthcare in hospital and the community to 258,000 people across Southport, Formby and West Lancashire.

Martin Gosling, brand operations director, said: “Toby Carvery has been bringing friends and family together for over 30 years, and we wanted everyone to feel included this Easter.

“We’re thrilled that Toby Carvery Ormskirk collected over 200 Easter eggs, and we received 10,283 Easter egg donations at Toby sites across the UK. It was great to see the community and the team at Toby Carvery Ormskirk come together to support the children’s ward.

“We’re delighted to donate so many eggs to this great cause and it’s brilliant to see smiles all around!”
