Make your cuppa count this summer
THIS month saw the official launch of Make A Cuppa Count – Queenscourt’s lovely summer fundraiser that everyone can get involved with.
To celebrate the occasion, a unique transformation occurred... the familiar sight of a Bates milk float was transformed into a fabulous tea party venue for the morning!
Our mascot, Queenie, was delighted to be there with the lovely gents from Bates Dairy.
They enjoyed the sunshine in beautiful Birkdale Village, with delicious homemade cakes and refreshments, all on offer in return for a donation to Queenscourt Hospice.
Bates Dairy are very kindly sponsoring 2017’s Make A Cuppa Count and chose this wonderful way to showcase how much fun it can be to take part.
We are sincerely grateful to have their incredible support.
They are a local family business, supporting local dairies and have been a dedicated part of our community for over 75 years, which is a lot of milk for a lot of cuppas!
Last year, the lovely act of enjoying a cuppa with a tasty treat managed to raise an amazing £6,000 for Queenscourt Hospice.
Supporters included a whole variety of local businesses, such as Victorian Plumbing, Walnut Salon and Moore & Smalley; local community groups including Brighter Living Partnership and 13th St. John’s Guides and Brownies; plus lots of individuals holding their own parties with friends and family.
In 2017 we need your help, we would love to see even more people join in the fun and have a cuppa to help our community.
It’s really easy to get involved and, whether it’s just a few friends or a big fundraising day, your Make A Cuppa Count party will make a positive difference to the patients and families we care for. So please get in touch and we will happily send you one of our free packs to help get your preparations in full swing.
Your special pack will include invitations, stickers, a quiz, plus a beautiful money box to collect all your donations on the day.
To request yours, or for more information, please contact Lucy Smith, community fundraiser, on 01704 517420 or email@example.com.
