Mayoral Briefings with Cllr NEIL FUREY

Ormskirk Advertiser - - Predator Jailed For Blitz Of Messages -

ON TUESDAY, June 20 my wife and I attended the 42nd Ormskirk (Skelmersdale St Paul’s) Scouts Group annual general meeting.

It was great to see so many young people from the group and once again they’ve had a wonderful year of fun activities.

On Thursday, we attended our first mayoral charity event, Alternative Ascot Day at Lancashire Manor Hotel.

We had a fantastic afternoon of entertainment.

We watched live races from Royal Ascot and everyone joined in with fundraising activities.

On Saturday we joined Up Holland and Tawd Vale Lions for their charter dinner at Mossock Hall Golf Club.

We learned a lot about the great work done by the Lions in helping people in need across the borough.

The next day, I attended Ormskirk Dance Festival at Cor- onation Park, Orm- skirk.

During the afternoon, I joined the crowds to watch local children showing off all their dance moves.

I also watched dancing from members of Divine Days Creative Arts who put on a lovely show.

Well done to everyone who took part!

The mayor and his wife with 42nd Ormskirk (Skelmersdale St Paul’s) Scouts Group
