Mayoral opening for hotel’s refurbished function suite
THE Mayor of West Lancashire, Cllr Neil Furey, has carried out the official opening of the newlyrefurbished Lathom Suite at the Best Western Plus Lancashire Manor Hotel.
He was accompanied by the mayoress, Julie Furey, Lancashire Manor directors Mark and Tim Timmerman, general manager Steve Hopkins and members of the hotel team.
Mr Hopkins said: “We listened to our clients who said they wanted a more modern function room with state-of-the-art lighting and technology.
“We now have a room that beautifully complements the grandeur of The Great Hall with its stone clad walls, whilst offering something stylishly different.”
The new Lathom Suite caters for up to 100 guests and The Great Hall caters for up to 220.
Cllr Furey said: “I am very confident that the investment in the Lathom Suite will create further demand for this beautiful hotel in a great location which will create more jobs in the local area and add to the hotel’s wellearned reputation.”
Following the ceremony, the mayor and mayoress were given the opportunity to tour the facilities.
Lancashire Manor Hotel has 74 bedrooms along with the two banqueting suites.
